Transfer Station and Recycling Center Tipping Fees

Transfer Station Tipping Fee Schedule:
Business Self Haulers	$97 ton (minimum $20/load)
Licensed Commercial Haulers - packer trucks	$83 ton

Special Waste Disposal Charge:
Automobile Tires	per ton plus $4 per tire
Tires 16 inches	per ton plus $15 per tire
Tires over 16 inches	per ton plus $25 per tire
Loader Tires	per ton plus $200 per tire
Refrigeration appliances (with freon)	per ton plus $18 each
Mattresses/ Box Springs (for quantites of more than five)	per ton plus $5 each

Propane Tanks $5 each
Lead Acid Batteries $2 each

Recyclables Processing Fees at Materials Recovery Facility:
Commingled Recyclables Containers	$25/ton
Cardboard (OCC)	$10/ton
Mixed Residential Newspaper	$10/ton

Note 1. An additional $5.00/ton for each 10% of contamination above the first 10% will also be charged. Note 2. Minimum load charge for Business Self-Haulers - $5.00 per load. Note 3. A fuel surcharge based on DOE index is adjusted monthly and assessed on all loads received at Agency facilities.

NOTE: Untarped Vehicles Service Fee is $5/load



Roll-Off Containers and Dumpster Prices

Roll-off containers from 10 cubic yards to 30 cubic yards are available for rental in Ulster County. Prices include transportation and tipping fees up to the maximum weight quoted below. (Transportation fees are based on regional location.) A waste disposal fee of $85/ton will be billed for any tonnage over the maximum allowed after the container is tipped and weighed at an Agency facility.

There are additional charges for tires, freon units, and mattresses (over five). Please refer to the Waste Disposal.


10 cubic yard container are 8' X 12' X 4'; price includes up to 2 tons
20 cubic yard container are 8' X 21' X 4'; price includes up to 4 tons
30 cubic yard container are 8' X 21' X 6'; price includes up to 6 tons
