Waste Disposal

WHO CAN USE THE UCRRA TRANSFER STATIONS FOR TRASH DISPOSAL?

The UCRRA is a solid waste management authority established to safely manage solid waste for Ulster County. Commercial haulers who pick up and dispose of Municipal Solid Waste (trash that is not construction & demolition debris, or C&D) in Ulster County must stay in compliance with the Flow Control Law by using the Agency’s facilities. Additionally, residents and businesses from any county may also use either of the Agency’s transfer stations to dispose of large loads of  trash or C&D, with no permit or account required.
*** Please remember that all open loads must be tarped, per the DEC. This rule applies to all non-enclosed vehicles disposing of trash at either of the Agency’s transfer stations, regardless of what type of item you are hauling and whether or not they are in bags. ***
