Waste Disposal

The UCRRA ia a solid waste management authority established to safely manage solid waste for Ulster County.

WHO CAN USE THE UCRRA TRANSFER STATIONS?

Licensed Haulers who pick up and dispose of Municipal Solid Waste in Ulster County must stay in compliance with the Flow Control Law by using the Agency’s facilities.Additionally, residents and businesses from any county may also use either of the Agency’s transfer stations to dispose of trash, with no permit required.

Passenger vehicles (cars), such as four door sedans, hatchbacks, station wagons, sports cars, etc. are not able to utilize the facilities during the week due to the high volume of commercial truck traffic. However, that type of vehicle may use either transfer station on Saturdays.

Residents or businesses in vans, large SUVs, pick ups, dump trucks, or trucks with trailers can use either transfer station (Ulster or New Paltz) Monday through Saturday.

ALL OPEN LOADS MUST BE TARPED. Anyone with a tractor trailer load of C&D must call the Agency first, at 845-336-0600 for special arrangements.
