Grades are determined based on
the following:

A |
School has
an effective system for separating paper AND
commingled recyclables. School ensures the recyclables are
transported to a recycling facility and has a documented
program to either reduce the amount of waste that is generated
or reuse materials. |

B |
School has an effective system for separating paper only
and ensuring it is transported to a recycling facility. |
|
C |
School has an effective
system for separating cardboard only and ensuring it is transported
to a recycling facility. |
|
D |
School
separates paper and/or comingled recyclables in the classroom
but it is then thrown in the trash. |

F |
School has no paper
recycling and no commingled recycling program in place. |

School is in process
of setting up a recycling program. |
