MINUTES OF THE BUDGET WORKSHOP
on June 29, 2005

The Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency held a Budget Workshop on June 29, 2005 at 999 Flatbush Avenue, Kingston, NY.

Roll Call for the Budget Workshop was at 3:00pm.

The following Board members were present: Kevin Roberts, Catherine Nilsen, James Craven and Dennis Helm. Arnold Bernardini was absent.

Also present was: Charles P. Shaw, Executive Director; Frank Tomaseski, Controller; Stephen J. Wing, Esq., Agency Counsel; Kelly Utter, Executive Secretary; Mike Bemis, Director of Operations and Safety; Laura Petit, Office Manager and Andrew Ghiorse, Recycling/Compliance Officer.

PUBLIC COMMENT – No Public Comment was given

COMMUNICATIONS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

The next Budget Workshop was scheduled for Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at 3:00pm.

The next Regular Business Meeting was scheduled for Monday, July 18, 2005 at 3:00pm.

WORKSHOP

The Proposed 2006 Budget must be distributed to the Ulster County Legislature by July 15, 2005and will be presented to the Environmental Committee on Tuesday, July 19, 2005 at 5:00pm at the Agency’s Office.

Charlie Shaw distributed to the Board the 2006 Proposed Budget Public Review Process and schedule; a Memo from Richard Gerentine Re: Spending Guidelines for 2005; Ulster County Legislature Resolution No. 203; Proposed 5 Year Capital Plan (2004 – 2008); Proposed Equipment Replacement Plan; First Draft of the 2006 Proposed Operating Budget and miscellaneous line item back up information.

MOTION to Adjourn the June 29, 2005 Budget Workshop at 7:10pm was made by James Craven and seconded by Catherine Nilsen. Four in favor. None opposed. One Absent (Bernardini)
